Online or in-person, this is designated for individuals looking to manage difficult experiences, explore sources of pain contributing to unmanageability, strengthen their coping skills, and work towards their individualized goals.Typically, meetings are weekly or bi-weekly

Sex & Love Addiction

Online or in-person, this is designed for individuals who are struggling with their sexual behaviours, romantic relationships and intimacy. Individual assessments will be provided assist in the therapeutic plan for recovery. A combination of evidence-based sex addiction work is used in conjunction with psychotherapy support.

Couples Therapy

Online or in-person, this is designated for couples to deepen their relationship, repair trust and safety and work through betrayal trauma. Individual consultations and assessments will be provided to both partners to strengthen the couple’s therapeutic plan.

Betrayal Trauma

IOnline or in-person, this is designed for individuals who have experienced betrayal trauma from their partner’s sex addiction. A combination of evidence-based practices are used within a trauma-focused approach to support partners manage their trauma responses, establish safety and boundaries snd begin their healing.

Therapeutic Work

  • Trauma informed practices recognizes the various impacts on people’s lives as a result of trauma experiences, while supporting symptom management and healing.

  • Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) is a skills-based approach to increase emotional regulation, manage distress, assist with interpersonal relationships and help people work towards a life worth living.

  • Family of Origin and Family systems approaches supports people to understand the impact of their family dynamics on their interpersonal relationships and their self-concept. Part of this work is to heal attachment wounds and unhealthy dynamics.

  • Enmeshment is term used to describe families where boundaries are significantly diffused and meshed together, causing emotional dependency and prevention of individuality among family members. Enmeshment work helps individuals work towards untangling themselves from unhealthy dynamics through establishing boundaries, managing feelings of guilt and working towards autonomy.

  • Emotion Focused therapy (EFT) supports clients to experientially explore their emotions in a controlled, regulated and non-judgemental way. EFT assists people integrate their emotional experiences into their core selves to help feel better connected and manage avoidant tendencies.

  • Sex addiction (SA) therapy supports people with unhealthy sexual behaviours and relationships address their compulsive behaviours while making healthy changes. SA work provides deeper insight into the development of compulsive behaviours while supporting recovery efforts.

  • Love (and relationship) Addiction aims to support individuals who struggle with unhealthy or addictive relationships, are infatuated by the idea of love or love interests (people), and struggle with fantasizing about love and relationships.

  • This work uses the understanding that when an attachment bond is broken through sexual addiction or infidelity, the experience is traumatic. It provides trauma informed and specific work to support people manage their trauma responses, regain sense of safety and heal.
